Intersection register · custodian, not owner

A city of Haute-Provence on the Durance, Sisteron was home to a medieval Jewish quarter documented from the 12th–15th centuries. Local and Provençal archives mention Jewish families active in trade and moneylending, until the expulsion from the county of Provence in 1501.

Great Book being written

This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.

The days of this book

This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Sisteron give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.

You know a date — a remembrance, a hilloula, the anniversary of a departure? Give it its day
