The former capital of the marquisate of Saluzzo in Piedmont, Saluzzo was home to a medieval and modern Jewish community with a synagogue and ghetto attested under the marquises and later the dukes of Savoy. The Jews of Saluzzo were among the beneficiaries of the Piedmontese emancipation edicts of the 19th century.

The days of this book

This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Saluzzo give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.

You know a date — a remembrance, a hilloula, the anniversary of a departure? Give it its day
