The historic capital of the Rouergue (present-day Aveyron), Rodez was home to a medieval Jewish community mentioned in episcopal and royal archives from the 12th–14th centuries. The community disappeared with the expulsions from the kingdom of France in 1306 and 1394.

The days of this book

This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Rodez give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.

You know a date — a remembrance, a hilloula, the anniversary of a departure? Give it its day
