Intersection register · custodian, not owner
Pohořelice (Pohrlitz in German), a town in southern Moravia, had been home to a Jewish community since the 16th century, within the framework of the dense Jewish presence in Moravia under the Habsburgs. The community had its own religious institutions and was integrated into the economic life of the region until its decline in the 19th century, driven by migration to the cities.
