Region: Bulgarie — Pleven
Intersection register · custodian, not owner
A city in northern Bulgaria, Pleven was home to a Sephardic Jewish community documented since the Ottoman period. It was active in the textile and food trade; almost all Bulgarian Jews survived the Shoah thanks to the Bulgarian authorities' refusal to hand them over to the Nazis.

The days of this book
This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Pleven give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.
You know a date — a remembrance, a hilloula, the anniversary of a departure? Give it its day
