Oni, a small town in the Racha region (Georgia), was home to an active Georgian Jewish community in the 19th and 20th centuries, integrated into local economic life and maintaining its own religious practices. The restored synagogue of Oni still bears witness to this presence. The majority of the Jews of Oni emigrated to Israel in the second half of the 20th century.
