Region: France (Limousin/Haute-Vienne)
Intersection register · custodian, not owner
Limoges, an episcopal city of Limousin, had a Jewish community attested from the 9th century, one of the oldest in central France. The Jews of Limoges were caught up in disputes between the bishop and local abbots, and faced pressure to convert in the 11th century under the influence of the Gregorian Reform; the community was subsequently affected by the expulsions of 1306 and 1394.

The days of this book
This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Limoges give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.
You know a date — a remembrance, a hilloula, the anniversary of a departure? Give it its day
