Region: Maroc (Moyen Atlas, province de Khenifra)
Intersection register · custodian, not owner
A city in the central Middle Atlas, Khenifra had a mellah whose inhabitants, primarily merchants, maintained close economic relations with the Aït Sgougou and Aït Ndir Berber tribes. The community declined rapidly after Moroccan independence (1956).
Great Book being written
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
The days of this book
This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Khenifra give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.
You know a date — a remembrance, a hilloula, the anniversary of a departure? Give it its day
