Jiblah (Djibla, Ibb province, Yemen), former capital of the medieval kings of Sheba, was home until the twentieth century to a Jewish artisan community specializing in goldsmithing and metalwork. Like many Jewish communities in Yemen, its members emigrated en masse to Israel during the aliya operations of the mid-twentieth century.
