Husiatyn, a town in eastern Galicia on the Zbruch, is the birthplace of the Husiatyn Hassidic dynasty, founded in the nineteenth century by descendants of the Rabbi of Ruzhin. The Jewish presence there was ancient and community life was vibrant. The Shoah annihilated this community.
