Humenné (in Hungarian Homonna) is a city in the Slovak Carpathians, in the Prešov region. A Hasidic Jewish community is documented there since the 18th century, belonging to the world of the shtetlekh of the High Carpathians, nearly all of whom were deported and exterminated during the Shoah.
