Hammath Tiberias, a thermal site adjacent to Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee, possesses one of the finest synagogue mosaics of late Antiquity (4th century). The pavement depicts a complete zodiac with personifications of the seasons, a menorah, and emblematic figures. It is one of the best-preserved synagogues in Galilee.
