Region: Libye (Tripolitaine, district de Gharyan)
Intersection register · custodian, not owner
Gharyan, the chief town of the Jabal Nafusa in Tripolitania, was home to a Jewish community living in cave-dwellings (ghorfas), documented by 19th-century European travelers. This community primarily practiced artisanal trades and traded with Tripoli before emigrating to Israel after 1948.

The days of this book
This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Gharyan give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.
You know a date — a remembrance, a hilloula, the anniversary of a departure? Give it its day
