Intersection register · custodian, not owner
Ghadamès is a caravan oasis at the borders of Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya, a crossroads of trans-Saharan routes, where the Jewish community was renowned for its role as brokers, goldsmiths, and merchants. The Jews of Ghadamès left the city after 1948, emigrating to Tripolitania and then to Israel.

The days of this book
This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Ghadamès give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.
