Intersection register · custodian, not owner
Focșani, a city on the historical border between Moldavia and Wallachia (Vrancea County), was home to a Jewish community established since the 18th century. Jews represented a notable share of the population in the 19th century and drove the border trade. The Shoah and the pogroms of the 1940–1941 period gravely affected the community.

The days of this book
This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Focșani give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.
