Intersection register · custodian, not owner
Durban, a port of KwaZulu-Natal, welcomed a wave of Lithuanian Jewish immigration beginning in the 1880s–1890s. An organized community developed there with synagogues, schools, and cultural associations. The Jews of Durban played an important role in the commerce and industry of the Province of Natal.
Great Book being written
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
The days of this book
This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Durban give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.
You know a date — a remembrance, a hilloula, the anniversary of a departure? Give it its day
