Debre Tabor, a town in Amhara (Ethiopia), had a Beta Israel community in the 19th and 20th centuries. Located in a region historically populated by Beta Israel, the town saw its Jewish community emigrate en masse to Israel during Operation Moses (1984) and Operation Solomon (1991).
