Blois, a town in the Val de Loire, is sadly famous in medieval Jewish history for the martyrdom of 1171, when some thirty Jews were burned alive following a ritual murder accusation — one of the first documented cases in France. This date (20 Sivan) was instituted as a commemorative fast day by Rabbénou Tam.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
