Blagoevgrad (formerly Gorna Djumaya) is a city at the foot of the Rhodopes, in southwestern Bulgaria. A Sephardic Jewish community is attested there since the Ottoman era, in the context of the Jewish presence in Macedonia and southern Bulgaria.
