Bir Lahmar, a village in the far south of Tunisia (Tataouine governorate), welcomed Jewish families living in the Berber ksour of the region, practicing commerce and crafts. Like all the Jews of southern Tunisia, they emigrated to Djerba, Tunis, then Israel and France during the twentieth century.
