Bergerac, a town in Périgord (Dordogne), was home to a medieval Jewish quarter documented from the 12th to the 14th century. As throughout the kingdom of France, the community was affected by the expulsions of 1306 and then of 1394 under Philippe le Bel and Charles VI.
