Intersection register · custodian, not owner

A lowland city at the foot of the High Atlas in the Tadla-Azilal region, Beni Mellal had a thriving mellah whose families lived from agricultural trade and crafts, serving as intermediaries between the Berber mountain populations and urban markets. The community emigrated en masse to Casablanca and Israel in the 1950s–1960s.
