Amizmiz, a small mountain town at the foot of the High Atlas (Marrakech region), was home to a Jewish community known for its goldsmithing and commerce. The Jewish goldsmiths of Amizmiz supplied local markets and the surrounding Berber tribes. The community emigrated to Marrakech and then to Israel in the mid-twentieth century.
