Professional association of Reform rabbis in the United States and Canada, founded in 1889 by Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise. It is the oldest and largest rabbinical organization in the world; it develops the liturgy, ethics, and doctrinal positions of Reform Judaism. Its headquarters is in New York.
