First Holocaust memorial center in Africa, opened in Cape Town in August 1999. Museum and educational institution, it documents the history of the Holocaust and genocides (including Rwanda 1994) to combat racism and antisemitism. Founding center of the South African Holocaust & Genocide Foundation.
