The Royal Library of Denmark (Det Kongelige Bibliotek), founded in 1648, holds a Hebrew collection assembled primarily in the eighteenth century through the acquisitions of Danish Orientalists and the commercial ties of Copenhagen's Sephardic community. It includes biblical manuscripts, texts of medieval Jewish philosophy, and documents from the Sephardic community of Fredericia. This collection is partially digitized through the Rex portal. The library also holds unique archives on the Jews of Denmark in the age of the Reformation.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
