The university library of Genoa holds a Hebrew collection assembled from the collections of Genoese Jewish families and university acquisitions in the eighteenth century. It contains liturgical manuscripts, texts of medieval philosophy, and documents relating to the Sephardic community of Genoa after 1492. This collection is described in the Censimento dei Manoscritti Ebraici in Italia. The Jewish community of Genoa, often overshadowed by those of Venice or Livorno, is uniquely documented here.
