Research institute and publishing house founded in 1935 by the World Zionist Executive and the Jewish Agency, named after poet Hayim Nahman Bialik. Dedicated to history and culture in the Hebrew language, it has published major works such as Encyclopaedia Biblica (1942-1982) and major scholarly series on the Bible and the Near East.
