Founded in 2001 at the Technische Universität Braunschweig in partnership with the Center for Jewish Art at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Bet Tfila is a German-Israeli research center specializing in the survey, documentation, and study of the sacred and civil architecture of Jewish communities in Europe.
