Founded in 1984 by Gary Mokotoff and Sallyann Amdur Sack-Pikus, Avotaynu is the leading publishing house dedicated to Jewish genealogy. It has published since 1985 the journal "Avotaynu: The International Review of Jewish Genealogy" as well as more than seventy reference works, including "Where Once We Walked", a directory of Jewish communities destroyed during the Holocaust.
