Né et élevé à Tel-Aviv, engagé au Palmach à 18 ans. Général de division de Tsahal, chef du Commandement Sud (1965–1969), il dirigea l'offensive israélienne dans le Sinaï lors de la guerre des Six Jours (1967). Dans le civil, il fut PDG de Koor Metals puis du conglomérat Koor. Dernier commandant supérieur israélien survivant de la guerre de 1967 ; mort le 3 octobre 2024.
