Réalisateur américain. Ses quatre grands-parents sont des Juifs d'Ukraine : son grand-père paternel Shmuel Spielberg était originaire de Kamianets-Podilskyi, sa grand-mère Rebecca de Soudylkiv. Réalisateur de « La Liste de Schindler » (1993), il fonde en 1994 la USC Shoah Foundation pour recueillir les témoignages de survivants de la Shoah.
