Salomon ben Nathan Ashkenazi (v. 1520-1602), né à Udine dans une famille juive d'origine allemande, formé en médecine à Padoue et comme rabbin, fut médecin de cour à Cracovie puis à Constantinople dès 1564. Intermédiaire clé entre l'Empire ottoman et Venise pendant la guerre de 1570, il contribua notamment à la réadmission des Juifs à Venise en 1573.
