Talmudiste érudit originaire de Tunis, ayant étudié à la yeshiva de Rabbi Raphaël El-Fassi. Se rendit à Nabeul en 1773 auprès de sa fille, épouse de Rabbi Mardochée El-Guez. Mort en 1774, il devint l'objet d'une vénération populaire, un pèlerinage se tenant sur sa tombe.
