Né dans le village de Beni-Mellal au Maroc, envoyé étudier à la Schneider Yeshiva en Angleterre avant sa bar-mitzvah, il quitte le Maroc en 1967 et s'installe à Brooklyn. Il y fonde et dirige pendant une trentaine d'années la kehilla marocaine de Flatbush et co-ouvre la librairie de sefarim « Sisu ». Il est décédé en 2021 ; sa levaya et sa notice nécrologique sont documentées.
