Kabbaliste né en Espagne vers 1480, probablement mort en terre d'Israël ou en Turquie. Considéré comme l'un des premiers à exposer systématiquement la doctrine kabbalistique, précurseur de Moïse Cordovero et d'Isaac Louria. Son œuvre 'Avodat ha-Qodesh' est l'une des synthèses les plus complètes de la Kabbale avant l'école de Safed.
