Fils d'Ezekiel Rahabi (I) qui émigra d'Alep à Cochin en 1646, David Rahabi vint à Cochin après la mort de son père et y mourut en 1726 ; sa pierre tombale est conservée dans la cour de la synagogue Paradesi. Il amorça l'entreprise culturelle poursuivie par son fils Ezekiel.
