Né à Tripoli en 1955, sa famille fuit la Libye pour Rome en 1967. Psychanalyste jungien et auteur, il s'est fait connaître en revenant en Libye après la chute de Kadhafi pour tenter de restaurer la grande synagogue de Tripoli, et a été invité à Djerba à l'inauguration d'un Sefer Torah. Nommé par le HCR « Ambassadeur pour la paix » (2007).
