Centre de recherche et d'édition fondé en 1973 par la Société historique d'Israël, avec l'appui de l'État, en l'honneur de Zalman Shazar, troisième président d'Israël. Principal éditeur israélien de textes d'histoire juive, il publie chaque année des ouvrages savants et manuels, organise des colloques et conserve une bibliothèque de 25 000 volumes.
