Husiatyn, a town in eastern Galicia on the Zbruch, is the birthplace of the Hasidic dynasty of Husiatyn, founded in the 19th century by descendants of the Rabbi of Ruzhin. Jewish presence there was ancient and community life vibrant. The Shoah destroyed this community.
