Partial collection of the responsa of Yitzhak ben Choushan Encaoua (13th century), the oldest Encaoua rabbinic figure of the Iberian Middle Ages, predating by about a century the martyr Israël ben Joseph Aln'kaoua of Toledo (†1391). A disciple of the Meïri of Perpignan, correspondent of the Rashba of Barcelona. The manuscript, reported by the Encaoua collective (chapter 4), is said to be held at the Bibliothèque nationale de France under the shelfmark ms. hébreu 389 — shelfmark to be confirmed with the manuscripts department.
