כוהן-מלך אורוק
Region: Mésopotamie (Uruk)
History register · custodian, not owner
A recurring figure on Uruk-period seals and sculpture: a bearded man in long netted skirt with headband, holding spear or sling, sometimes worshipping Inanna. Known by the Sumerian title EN ("lord"), he embodies the first attested model of Mesopotamian sacred kingship — combining political, military and priestly functions.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
