A predynastic king (Dynasty 0), immediate predecessor of Narmer, attested by serekhs (early royal cartouches) on jars found in Upper Egypt, the Delta and even southern Palestine (Tel Lod, Tel Erani). First king whose name systematically appears in a serekh.
