The Mendel Gottesman Library at Yeshiva University in New York holds one of the most important collections of Hebrew and Judeo-Arabic archives and manuscripts in the United States. Its special collections include medieval manuscripts, Hebrew incunabula, Sephardic and Ashkenazic communal archives, and collections from the American Jewish press. Its Archives & Special Collections are open to researchers by appointment and participate in several digitization programs in partnership with Israeli and European institutions. The library is a member of the Center for Jewish History network.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
