A non-profit organization founded in 1995, JRI-Poland has built the largest online database of Jewish civil registration records from Poland and historically Polish territories, indexing more than 6.1 million birth, marriage, and death records from more than 550 localities. It also makes available censuses, resident lists, military and school registers, and death notices. Its tools are used by genealogists, historians, and families seeking to trace relatives who were victims of the Shoah. JRI-Poland collaborates closely with POLIN and the JDC Archives.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
