Established as an independent structure in 1986, the European Jewish Congress is the representative body of democratically elected Jewish communities in Europe, federating more than forty national communities. Based in Brussels, with offices in Paris, Strasbourg, Berlin, and Budapest, it is affiliated with the World Jewish Congress and engages in dialogue with EU institutions.
