The principal Croatian memorial dedicated to the victims of the Ustasha concentration and extermination camp (1941–1945), one of the deadliest in Europe outside direct Nazi rule, where approximately 80,000 to 100,000 Serbs, Jews, and Roma perished. The permanent museum and educational center, reopened in 2006 following a complete redesign, document the regime of the NDH (Independent State of Croatia) and its crimes. The memorial is managed by a Croatian public institution.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
