The North American branch, founded in 2010, of the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem, this center trains Jewish leaders, rabbis, and intellectuals according to a pluralist and critical approach to Jewish thought. Distinct from its Israeli parent institution (already in the database), it develops its own programs such as iEngage (on the relationship of Diaspora Jews to Israel) and seminars for communal leaders. David Hartman and Donniel Hartman are its founding figures.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
