National Yiddish theatre of the United States, founded in 1915 on the Lower East Side under the auspices of the Workmen's Circle. The country's oldest theatre company in continuous operation, it produces plays in Yiddish with English supertitles. Its Yiddish revival of "Fiddler on the Roof" (2018) marked the international renewal of Yiddish theatre.
