Inaugurated on 9 May 2016 under the auspices of the International Institute for Holocaust Research at Yad Vashem, the Mirilashvili Centre is specifically dedicated to research on the fate of Jews living in the territories of the USSR on 22 June 1941. It funds documentary projects, annotated collections of archival sources, and cooperation with research institutes in the former USSR, Israel, Europe, and the United States. Its thematic scope covers Jews under German occupation, Jewish soldiers in the Red Army, Soviet policy toward Jews, and the effects of the Shoah on post-Soviet identities. It publishes annual reports and proceedings of international conferences.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
